Writing an article review Today I will do my first article review ever for the subject of Interdisciplinary Design Research. I have printed my articles and I am reading over them continuously in between jobs at work. It is a lot of information to process. The area of research I have chosen is design management because I would like to go into this area of study and research. Design management is a new subject and it incorporates the integration of various disciplines which can be interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary and multidisciplinary. We are living in a world where the quality and effectiveness of products and services are informed by the needs they satisfy. Needs can only be satisfied by acknowledging the concerns of partners who rely on or use the products or services they are made for. These partners constitute various segments of society across various levels of professions, class structures and cultures thus making their needs complex. Hello! Is it me you're looking for or am I looking for myself? I'm writing this with Lionel Richie playing in the background. I've only learnt to appreciate him as an artist later in my 30s. Somehow the blend of melody with soulful verbiage eases the day a bit. I am currently in week 3 of my Social Innovation and Citizenship subject module. It's an interesting subject to say the least. The way Lionel sang about dancing on the ceiling is exactly how I feel doing this diploma in that I do not know what to expect and I'm having fun with a slight anxiety that I might fall down to the ground with a crowd around me saying I told you so. There is an undeniable feeling of exhilaration when my two favourite things,  creative sciences and learning, c ollide in the world.
